A leading healthcare client is seeking Remote Medical Assistants to support a new program focused on virtual patient care.
In this role, you will assist patients with vital checks, conduct blood pressure assessments, and provide proactive phone support.
You will ensure accurate intake, escalate issues to Registered Nurses (RNs) when necessary, and document all interactions thoroughly.
This is a remote position with the opportunity to contribute to an impactful healthcare program. Your key responsibilities include handle inbound calls, determine patient needs, and provide guidance on the next steps.
You will assist patients with virtual vital checks and blood pressure tests. You will offer live phone support to guide patients through intake processes.
You will proactively plan and manage patient care from initial outreach to resolution and escalate cases with abnormal or elevated results to RNs.
You will accurately document all patient interactions using Salesforce scripts and EHR macros. You will index patient cases based on blood pressure readings for follow-up and callback prioritization.
Required Skills :
- Minimum of 1+ years’ experience working as a Medical Assistant (remote MA experience preferred.)
- Medical Assistant Certification through AAMA, AMT, NHA, NCCT.
- High school diploma or equivalent or higher level of education.
- High call volume experience.
- Familiarity with using EMR systems.
- Tech savvy, ability to quickly learn new technology platforms and tools including Slack and Google Suite.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Plusses :
- Experience working with Athena EMR and Salesforce (or similar platforms) for documentation.
- 1+ years of experience in telehealth or phone-based patient care.
- Bilingual in Spanish.
Location : REMOTE
Hours / Shifts :
- Monday-Friday 8AM EST -5PM EST or 11AM EST-8PM EST
- Tuesday-Saturday 8AM EST- 5PM EST or 11AM EST 8PM EST
Duration : 1 month project ending 12 / 31 / 2024
