We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Municipal Associate Attorney to join our dynamic team.Position Overview : The Municipal Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling a variety of municipal law matters, providing legal counsel to public entities, and representing clients in complex municipal transactions and litigation.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant experience, be admitted to practice in Massachusetts, and demonstrate a strong commitment to public service and legal excellence.
Key Responsibilities : Provide legal advice and counsel to municipalities, public entities, and private clients on a wide range of municipal law issues, including zoning, land use, public contracts, and regulatory compliance.
Draft, review, and negotiate ordinances, resolutions, contracts, and other legal documents for municipal clients.Represent clients in municipal court, administrative hearings, and other legal proceedings.
Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on various municipal law topics.Assist in the preparation and implementation of municipal policies and procedures.
Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to develop legal strategies and achieve client objectives.Maintain strong relationships with clients, public officials, and community stakeholders.
Stay current with developments in municipal law and related fields.Qualifications : Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admitted to practice law in Massachusetts.3-5 years of experience in municipal law or related legal fields.Strong knowledge of Massachusetts municipal law, land use, zoning, public contracts, and regulatory compliance.
Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, public officials, and colleagues.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Commitment to public service and the highest ethical standards.
