Your Role at Baxter :

The Data Catalog Lead will be responsible for the refinement and evolution of the Collibra Data Catalog. This role must be proficient in data concepts & principles and have demonstrated experience designing and maintaining a user-friendly catalog that incorporates those concepts and principles.

This individual will collaborate with data stewards to help them achieve their cataloging responsibilities.

The Lead must be capable of driving ongoing catalog development, while balancing the support of various, related, data governance initiatives.

This role will be in the Data Governance organization reporting to the Associate Director of Data Governance. This position will be asked to help foster a data driven culture for our internal and external customers.

This role will partner closely with Business Owners and IT Leads to build and maintain a comprehensive data catalog.

What You'll Be Doing :

• Manage and Support Data Governance Organization
• Lead the creation, education, and governance of data catalog best practices
• Support training, education and adoption of the data catalog and governance progress
• Serve as the business owner for Baxter’s data catalog application
• Develop a continuous improvement mindset to evaluate how the catalog and the cataloging process can be revised to yield the easiest adoption and maximize the enterprise value

What You'll Bring :

• 5+ years of experience working with global or regional stakeholders
• Direct experience with Data Governance tools, preferably Collibra (Edge)
• Direct data catalog experience in crafting and building operating model, metamodel, importing or exporting content, customizing dashboards & widgets, views;

hands-on experience implementing out-of-box and developing custom workflows

• Experience configuring and implementing Collibra native Metadata Connectors, Technical Harvesters, ETL and Reporting Connectors to implement end-to-end Data Lineage
• Data Governance execution and / or operationalization experience in MedTech industry is a plus
