Position : Lead Accounts Payable Specialist
Job Description
- Process vendor and subcontractor invoices on a daily basis
- Ensure accurate and timely payments are made on a weekly basis
- Monitor, research and respond timely to email and phone inquiries
- Setup and maintain subcontractor project spreadsheets
- Update change order details for projects
- Prepare and send out lien waivers
- Ensure certificates of insurance are current
- Review deficiencies that prevent the release of subcontractor payments and work with company to resolve them
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank and vendor statements
- Assist in month-end closing processes and provide support for audits
- Cross train in payroll and other finance related duties
Hard Skills
- 7+ years AP experience (400 invoices per week)
- Basic Excel proficiency - basic formulas, sum, format / filter
- Ability & interest to cross-train in payroll, reconciliations, etc.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Norfolk, Virginia.
Work Environment
M-Th on-site 8-4
Friday work remote 8-noon half day
still paid 40 hours weekly for working 36 hours
6 paid holidays
