BASIC FUNCTION The Full-Time Wheelchair Technician is responsible for the maintenance of Smarte Carte Mobility wheelchairs and providing customer service in direct communication with clients. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Working knowledge of equipment and ability to perform maintenance and repairs.
• Submit reports and respond to service requests in an accurate and timely manner.
• Understand work rules and the expectations of the clients, airport management, and Smarte Carte.
• Maintain regular contact with General Manager.
• Perform periodic count of wheelchair fleet inventory as required
• Ensure a safe working environment by ensuring all equipment is in good repair and working as designed.
• Interact with client contacts to establish and maintain good rapport and excellent working relationships.
• Maintain neat and organized tool and part storage areas, and order parts as needed
• Pass background checks and present IDs as required to obtain airport badge and necessary clearance
• Other assignments as needed. SKILLS

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associates or Technical degree preferred CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES

• Valid driver license required PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Lift 50 lbs. to waist height
• Push / Pull 75-100 lbs.
• Bend and stoop, walk and stand for long periods of time
• Visual acuity / manual dexterity to perform mechanical and electrical repairs Experience Required
