Level One : Inspects forged bars, rings and / or rough machined parts, to ensure conformance to specifications by assisting the Chief Inspector and performing the following duties under little supervision and training.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities :
- Reads blueprints or engineering specifications to obtain product information such as specified material, surface finish, and dimensions.
- Compares surface finish of workpiece to finish on set of standard blocks making fingertip touch comparison to ensure production of specified surface finish.
- Measures dimensions such as length, height, and distance, between reference points to ensure product meets
- Locates reference point on part and measures dimensions such as angle, arc, and
- Reports findings to Inspection Supervisor and, if necessary, write Inspection Deviation Report (IDR) if parts are not in conformance.
- Sets up and tries out inspection equipment to ensure
- Substitutes known values such as dimensions from blueprints into standard formulas and solves for unknown quantities to determine dimensions not specified in blueprints.

Required Skills :
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of introductory algebra and geometry
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with various concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret multiple instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Experience & Education
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or five years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $23.50 to $29.50 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors.
For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter.
