The Calibration Coordinator supports operations of the Calibration group within the Facilities Department by coordinating all vendor-performed work, including both on-site and off-site services.
As a Calibration Coordinator, a typical day might include the following :
Coordinating with equipment owners across departments to obtain and send out instruments to be calibrated by external service providers.
Managing shipment and logistics for all instruments and standards sent off-site for calibration and / or repair. Following up with vendors to ensure timely return of equipment once it has been serviced.
Providing oversight for contractors performing calibration and preventive maintenance work on site, including accompanying them to various areas to facilitate servicing of equipment and ensuring observance of company procedures and policies.
Reviewing calibration worksheets and certificates for completeness and accuracy, and documenting work electronically within the Blue Mountain Regulatory Asset Manager (BMRAM) System.
Working with the Materials Management Group to ensure that Calibration Technicians have the required supplies and standards vital to perform their work (e.
g. pH Buffers, Conductivity Standards, Fyrite and UV Solutions, 0.2 micron Filters, etc.). Ensuring all standards are suitable for use, including the verification of Temperature Standards.
Reporting Out of Tolerance (OOT) events to Calibration Management and the Facilities Compliance Group for vendor-performed calibration work.
Ensuring OOT events are reported in a timely manner and that all necessary documentation is available to facilitate closure of the associated deviation investigations.

To be considered for the Calibration Coordinator position, you should have at minimum an Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience along with the minimum years of experience for each level below :
- alibration Coordinator II : 2+ years
- Calibration Coordinator III : 4+ years
- Calibration Coordinator IV : 6+ years
Level will be determined based on qualifications relevant to the role.
