This is advanced, responsible and supervisory work coordinating and overseeing community partnership programs within the City of Miami.
Work involves responsibility for ensuring that the program's needs are met, that policies and procedures are followed correctly, and that records are maintained properly.
Work includes overall leadership in guiding all administrative, fiscal, and community-oriented program activities as delineated in the program guidelines.
Actively works with community-based organizations, companies, boards, committees, residents, and recruits or builds relationships for future and current placement of partnership participants, activities, or programs.
Employees in this classification supervise, train, and may evaluate staff members as outlined in the partnership guidelines.
Duties are performed in accordance with guidelines of partnership, but with wide latitude for responsible and independent judgment.
General supervision is received from a higher-level administrator.

Responsibilities include :
- Coordinating and implementing partnership processes, which may include recruiting, interviewing, placing, providing orientation, and advertising program and partnerships.
- Tracking and maintaining partnership and program budget.
- Processing reimbursements and reports as required by funding source.
- Ensuring that policies and procedures outlined in partnership are correctly adhered to.
- Supervising partnership participants.
- Coordinating, planning, and implementing activities with major stakeholders.
- Organizing and attending partnership meetings.
- Providing technical assistance to participants and partnership members.
- Overseeing design, marketing, promotion, and delivery of programs and services.
- Formulating and revising policies and procedures relating to various partnership or program guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Serving as a department or City liaison to the community, partners, residents, funders, and stakeholders.
- Conducting research, preparing reports, and analyzing findings.
- Conducting site visits.
- Performing other related work as required.
Minimum Requirements :
Bachelor's degree and four (4) years experience managing and implementing local, state, or federally funded initiatives or programs, preferably for government and / or community-based services.
A valid Driver's License from any state (Equivalent to a State of Florida Class E) may be utilized upon application; however, prior to appointment, a State of Florida Driver's License (Class E or higher) must be presented to the Department of Human Resources.
Equivalent combination of education and experience beyond a high school diploma or its equivalent.

Translations of diploma / degrees are not accepted. If degree / diploma does not reflect the academic major on its face, transcripts indicating degree completion must be submitted.
Audit / Academic reports are not accepted as substitutions for college transcripts.
- To qualify under the equivalency clause, applicant must provide proof of education in one or more of the following applicable forms : copy of high school diploma, or equivalent, OR any higher accredited degree such as an Associate's, Bachelor's, Master's degree or higher.
- A valid Driver's License from any state (Equivalent to a State of Florida (Class E) may be utilized upon application; however, prior to appointment, a State of Florida Driver's License (Class E or higher) must be presented to the Department of Human Resources and must be maintained valid throughout employment.
Selection Preference for City Residents : In accordance with APM 2-02, applicants for classified positions who are City of Miami residents and new hires will receive preference in selection from interview ranking bands provided that any two (2) of the following documents are submitted with the employment application and again at the time of interview :
- Utility bill dated within 60 days of the date of submission.
- Valid Florida Driver License or State-issued I.D.
- Property Tax Statement dated within 1 year of the date of submission.
- Properly executed valid lease agreement.
- Homestead Exemption dated within 1 year of the date of submission.
- Motor Vehicle Registration dated within 90 days of the date of submission.
- Official school records or transcripts, dated within 90 days of the date of submission.
