Requirements / Qualifications

Credential Required : Applicants must hold a valid CA Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential or a CA State License from the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board or California Clinical or Rehabilitative Services Glendale Unified is seeking dynamic educators who exhibit : Effective skills in working with English Learner (EL) students Strength in working with diverse students Experience working at a school is preferred but not required at entry-level.

This position's duties include assessing students and providing speech and language services. Strong collaboration and consulting with teachers and parents are also very important.

The speech / language / hearing specialist serves as an integral member of the IEP team. The District also provides an additional stipend granted for an earned doctorate.

Once the District has tentatively offered employment, a candidate must submit evidence of freedom from tuberculosis, pre-employment physical exam (district-paid), and fingerprint clearance with the Department of Justice.

Applicants will also be required to provide official transcripts from relevant coursework to determine salary placement.

The District provides the most substantial benefits package of all school districts in Los Angeles County, including employee and dependent health, dental, and vision coverage.
