If so, we want to talk to you. Maverik is looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Clerk to be responsible for processing invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all vendors in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.
The Accounts Payable Clerk oversees the daily entry of invoices, reconciles invoices, maintains vendor relations, and manages paperwork.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Ensure accurate payment processing, including but not limited to verifying Federal ID numbers, scheduling and preparing checks, resolving purchase orders, contracts, invoices, or payment discrepancies and documentation, ensuring credit is received for outstanding memos, issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments
- Ensure proper supporting documentation ( purchase order, approved and reconciled invoices / vendor statements, etc.) exists for all payments
- Verify expense reports and audits the reports to ensure compliance with Travel & Entertainment policy
- Assist with compliance of reporting and preparation
- Additional responsibilities as assigned Adheres to all company policies and procedures
Qualifications : Education
Some college-level work, with accounting courses and / or associated degree preferred
Qualifications : Experience
- Knowledge of accounts payable functions, with experience with multiple systems highly valuable
- Experience with MS Office including Excel skills

- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including strong listening skills
- Practice operating independently without the need for continuous oversight or direction
- Proven ability to effectively prioritize and balance competing needs
- A history of taking the initiative to identify and solve work-related problems
