Content Producer

Our well-known technology client is looking for a Reference Content Producer to join their team.

This will be a 12 month long, 40 hr / week, remote*, contract role.

Candidates will be needed to come onsite to Cupertino campus when needed.

Job Summary

As a Reference Content Producer, details are your passion. You enjoy ensuring the right information is in the right place, for the right audience, and for the right amount of time.

You make sure that, when time’s up, that information is available in an archive for reference as needed. You understand that our Store teams need quick access to accurate information to ensure every customer has a great experience in all our stores around the world.

And you’re able to adjust to working independently from home, or in an office setting, when necessary.

Primary job functions include

Reference Materials

• Review and edit new and updated reference material files provided by internal business partners to prepare the content for publication on our communication platform.
• Production details to consider : ensuring template compliance; editing content to make clear and concise; copyediting and / or proofreading needs;

arranging localization for 20+ countries; confirming appropriate audiences and other publication details prior to turning over for publishing.

Monitor reference material files published by others (post-QA). Enter publication details that may be missing (such as sunset dates, business partner names, and folder assignment), or follow up with administrators who created the files.

Watch for potential duplications.

• Review sunset notifications to determine if files still need to be published and, if so, that the content is current. Follow up with business partners to either sunset or update.
• Assist business partners with file audits, organization of files, efficient tagging to help with searches, and best practices.
• Maintain digital archive of reference materials.
• Update database with publication information.
• Collaborate with writers, communications managers, producers, and business partners to understand publication details.
• Partner with Globalization team to prioritize translation requests and ensure timely publication in native languages.
• Write and / or edit alternative text for images.

• Proprietary systems used to create, update, translate, and monitor reference materials
• iWork suite (Pages, Numbers, Keynote)

• Slack

Key Qualifications

• Commercial experience in testing user interfaces
• Automated functional testing experience
• Familiarity with defect management systems
• Exposure to automated testing tools
• Exposure to object oriented analysis and design
• Participated in full lifecycle development on large projects
• Ability to write acceptance criteria for features in simple business language. Understanding of Unit, Functional, System, Performance, Technical and Operational testing and the tools utilized.
• Eager to learn new methodologies and tools
• Familiar with interface testing and mock objects concepts
• Experience with execution and reporting of both manual and automated test scripts.
• Experience with testing distributed systems
• In-depth knowledge of the process and skills to produce the tools needed to automate testing.
• Proficient in test tool analysis and data flow
• Knowledge of programming concepts and practices
• Ability to work closely with developers and enable them to produce the best application possible
• Ability to determine estimates of effort and impacts for a variety of solutions
• Expectations include a high level of initiative and a strong commitment to job knowledge, productivity, and attention to detail

Education

BA / BS preferred, or equivalent education and work experience

Qualified candidates will be asked to complete a copyediting test.

The pay for this W-2 position ranges from $49.00-$51.00 per hour. This position may be eligible for PTO, health and dental insurance, and / or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements.
