Your Role With Us :

Radiologic Technologist

Salem Health's Imaging Department serves the inpatients at our facilities as well as our outpatient community. Additionally, Salem Health's Imaging Department supports one of busiest Emergency Departments on the West Coast.

The Imaging team is a patient-centered unit of 40+ imaging techs striving to provide our patients with the superior care they deserve.

Primary Functions :

• Demonstrate the ability to use problem solving skills to reach independent decisions, tailoring exams to the patient's condition and level of cooperation as necessary.
• Select appropriate radiation exposure factors according to body area, body habitus, and patient condition.
• Use skills to obtain diagnostic quality images consistently while minimizing radiation exposure to patient.
• Produce thorough exam documentation on a consistent basis.
• Demonstrate competency in the operation of Imaging equipment by following safe operating procedures as recommended by original equipment manufacturer.

Background / Expertise :

• One (1) year of experience in X-Ray preferred. Not Required.
• BLS required.
• Must have graduated from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Must be licensed with the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) in Radiography.
• Must have, or be able to obtain, American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification within Six (6) months of hire.
