Team Profile :
The Regulatory Reporting Quality Assurance (RRQA) function is responsible for performing independent validation of regulatory reporting data integrity and the associated control environment.
Key roles and responsibilities entail leading and performing periodic reviews of data reported in the company’s regulatory filings, such as the FFIEC 031 Call Report , FR-Y-9C, FR 2052a, and FR Y-14 M and FR Y-14Q and FR Y-14A reports, among others, which may include substantive testing and review of control testing for the purposes of ensuring accuracy of reports submitted to regulators.
Substantive testing includes reviewing reported balances, products, and accounts to ensure accurate coding at source system and / or to verify against contract documents.
The Regulatory Reporting Quality Assurance team also monitors the overall control environment supporting key regulatory reporting filings and serves as advisors to identify opportunities to further strengthen the environment to meet regulatory expectations.
Key Job Responsibilities :
We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join the RRQA team as a Principal Associate who excels in a collaborative environment and will take ownership of their responsibilities.
This risk management position is focused on controls management and substantive testing of the company’s regulatory filings.
The Principal Associate would be a self-starter responsible for managing multiple priorities. Key responsibilities include :
Lead and responsible for overall execution of the RRQA program including milestones for risk assessment activities, substantive testing reviews, PLA engagement, control challenge, issue analysis / management, and governance reporting.
Direct team members through completion of substantive testing reviews and other routine and ad-hoc program activities.
Liaise between business process performers, risk offices, internal auditors and accountable executives to communicate identified risks or issues and recommended remediation actions to these stakeholders.
Engage and serve as primary point of contact in change forums to understand and advise on potential changes to reporting requirements or changes in business environment that may impact reporting.
Facilitate and coordinate team participation in process level assessments to strengthen the overall control environment over data used in Regulatory filings including participating in enterprise forums and adjusting team processes based on changes in enterprise requirements.
Perform and oversee quality assurance procedures, including, but not limited to, identifying and defining issues, reviewing and analyzing substantive evidence, documenting target area processes and procedures, challenging control testing, and recommending remediation.
Prepare routine and ad-hoc reporting detailing risks, control, and issue monitoring over the regulatory reporting environment for senior leadership and key stakeholders.
Analyze known issues, identify root cause, and recommend remediation actions through succinct, organized, and audience tailored communications
Develop a high level of knowledge around regulatory reporting compliance, risk management, and evolving industry and regulatory changes and understand the broader context of implication of regulatory reporting risks affecting the company

Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree or related military experience
At least 3 years of experience in Internal Controls, Audit, or combination
Preferred Qualifications :
At least 4 years of Accounting, Finance, or audit experience within the financial services industry
At least 4 years of experience in Auditing and Control Evaluation
Knowledge of Regulatory Reporting filings such as the FFIEC 031 Call Report, FR Y-9C, FR Y-14A / M / Q, FR 2052a, among others.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or equivalent certification
