The Regional Markets Treasure (MKTY) Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for working in partnership with the Regional Head of MKTY to set the regional business strategy and engaging with stakeholders across MKTY and related businesses regionally to translate this into an effective regional execution strategy and implementation plans.
Responsible for ensuring governance structures and processes are in place and meet group standards. Working in conjunction with the Regional Head of Strategy Execution & Control (Global Treasury) and other Operating Committee (OPCO) members to ensure that businesses operate at the highest level of operational, governance and accountability standards, implementing global standards, global agendas, and driving transformation and change programs.
Managing regulatory liquidity, funding, transferred risk and in optimizing profitability.Reviewing the risk, Profit and Loss (P&L), Risk Weighted Assets (RWA), cash-flow and liquidity reports of the regional balance sheets.
Manages all costs of the business against the Annual Operating Plan (AOP). Overseeing operational loss / near miss, Management Self-Identified Issue (MSII), internal audit, regulatory issues in a site, local processes and control infrastructure and ensuring issue resolution to group standard and shares info with OPCO members to ensure the mitigation of any similar risks within the group.
Responsible for the delivery of the change agenda including regulatory changes impacting MKTY.

Full time employment, Monday Friday, 40 hours per week, Pay range : $277,410 to $290,500 per year.
Requirements
Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in finance, accounting, or a related field and 10 years of related work experience in a banking or financial services industry.
In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, Employer will accept 5 additional years of related work experience in a banking or financial services industry.
Must have 10 years experience in :
- Front to back system architecture in global markets business;
- Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), hedge accounting for US & International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS);
- Interest rate risk and foreign exchange risk buy in;
- P&L, valuations fixed income and currency (cash and derivative products) including business finance and valuation controls;
- Front to back trade flow; and,
- Non-financial risk framework and governance, including model risk and governance.
