SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To ensure the quality and integrity of each batch of food. Reports directly to the Batch Room Supervisor and is responsible for completing all duties and tasks assigned to them before their normal work shift ends.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIRED
Obey GMP’s and PPE’s for production areas.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for completing all duties and tasks assigned to him / her before his / her normal work shift ends. Signs off on safety commitments.
- Demonstrate capability to learn procedures for all products and operate equipment in all four batching areas. Must be able to perform the primary responsibilities and general requirements of other jobs in the department.
- With the use of proper equipment, transport pallets up to 2,500 pounds. Repetitively move and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Work in a cool / damp area with an ambient temperature up to 90ºF.
- Effective communication with other team members.
- Maintain productivity rates required throughout department.
- Ability to accurately weigh ingredients into industrial containers.
- Safe and efficient use of appropriate tools and safety equipment as required, including hair nets, ear plugs, smocks, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.
Prefer relative experience within last 3 years.
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree).
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job assignment an individual must meet the required job specific training located in the Training Register.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic math skills.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
