About this position
The Development Officer, Major Gifts plays a key role in the development, cultivation and stewardship of major donors, grateful patients, and corporate partners.
This individual oversees a portfolio of major donors, corporate sponsors and prospects, and conducts donor solicitation in collaboration with the development office and the Manager, Corporate & Individual, Planned Giving.

Bachelor’s degree required
Experience
Experience :
Three years development experience required (5 preferred), including experience soliciting individual gifts and working with corporate partners.
Healthcare or adjacent experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Expert relationship builder and excellent customer service skills.
- Possess a high level of computer literacy, including experience using Raiser’s Edge or other donor management CRMs.
- Experience using wealth analytics tools like ResearchPoint or Wealth Engine.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to work independently, set priorities and complete work on time and with accuracy.
- Ability to multi-task and excel in fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail.
- Mature judgment and the ability to maintain confidential information.
- Ability to work some nights / weekends.
