QUALIFICATIONS :
- Extensive knowledge of computers, networking, and office practices.
- High level of accuracy in data entry and management.
- Ability to function under pressure and high-demand needs
- Administrative skills to interpret county and state policies governing withdrawals, attendance, immunizations, and health records.
- Ability to communicate with multiple school personnel, students, parents, and outside agencies.
- Ability to migrate and manipulate data using Microsoft Office, Google Suites, and other student information product applications.
- Uses discretion to structure tasks to meet expectations and prioritize to meet deadlines.
- Securely understands student information confidentiality processes and can be extremely confidential with communication procedures.
- Requires limited supervision and can work independently and as a part of a team.
- Uses initiative in carrying out recurring assignments independently without specific instructions.
- Able to make decisions and solve problems with school data and information provided.

JOB GOAL : To monitor and manage district-wide student information system (Infinite Campus) application in support of district data collection and student information.
This position will serve multiple sites and will require travel.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Enters and manages student data in the student information system (Infinite Campus), withdrawals, student / teacher / room schedules, transcripts, test scores, immunizations, and demographics, for multiple locations.
- Monitors and modifies attendance entered by teachers based on parent notes, and sign-in / sign-out sheets daily.
- Works with parents, school administration, teachers, and social workers to maintain and report absence lists and attendance letters with accuracy.
- Employs the student information system (Infinite Campus) to generate reports to satisfy the requirements of Johnston County Public Schools, school administrators, and local and state governments, along with compliance with the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.
- Ability to export and generate reports from the Powerschool system and knowledge of data collected with interpretation.
- Use of NCDPI Student Information System to verify student information state-wide.
- Ability to effectively interpret historical information to assist school level scheduling teams with student's schedules.
- Assist with the use of scheduling module as a support to scheduling for school level personnel.
- Understanding of the online student registration system to verify student information and confirm enrollment according to JCPS board policy.
- Maintain up-to-date records of student reassignments as shared by the local district office.
- Effective collaboration with other student information data managers to accomplish district tasks by specified deadlines.
- Understands how to assist in troubleshooting Parent Portal including setting up user accounts and password resets.
- Ability to utilize the state NCEdCloud Portal to reset student and teacher user passwords as needed.
- Collaboration with the Enrollment Center staff with new student enrollments
- Assist with maintaining cumulative folders and record management at multiple sites
- Familiarity with the NC SASA Manual and Student UID System (CEDARS)
- Serves as Tier 1 support for student information system-related issues at the school level.
- Maintain up-to-date demographic information and emergency contact information.
- Requests cumulative records for new students and sends cumulative records upon request for existing students. Assist with providing documents for student cumulative records according to federal (FERPA)
