Medical Coding Manager

Responsibilities

Are you an experienced inpatient and outpatient Coder, passionate about providing accurate coding support in a hospital setting with experience leading a small team of coding specialists?

Aspen Grove Behavioral Hospital is looking for you! We are currently recruiting for a full-time Medical Records Coding Manager (ON-SITE ONLY - this is not a remote position).

Aspen Grove Behavioral Hospital (AGBH) is an 80-bed facility, serving the adolescent, adult, and detox / rehab population and is located in Orem, Utah.

Your position goals and objectives include :

• Overseeing and directing the day-to-day tasks of a small team of coders while providing positive leadership and role-modeling
• Establishing and working within performance goals to meet and exceed expectations.
• Supporting the medical records department through a variety of clerical, technical and related support services.
• Coding discharged patients' accounts.
• Prepare the patient chart for discharge process and assemble components in the correct order.
• Assigns and abstracts medical and consultant data.

Qualifications

Your qualifications and experience will include :

Education : High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED

Experience : Two years' Coding experience REQUIRED

Leadership / Management : One year REQUIRED ; preferably in medical coding capacity

Licensure / Certification : CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or equivalent REQUIRED

Other : Must be at least 21 years of age or older and able to pass a background check and drug screen

Knowledge : Health Information Management (HIM) systems and operations. Computer literate; skill sets to work in a fast-paced environment.
