Job Summary
Responsible for learning and performing the fundamental tasks associated with transportation. These activities include but are not limited to, the creation of bills of lading, tracing shipments, resolution of freight claims, and processing of invoices.
This position is able to perform these functions across various transportation modes including rail, truck, less than truckload, and others as necessary.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Convert purchase orders and sales orders to bills of lading
Trace shipments using online tools
Able to identify problems, identify root causes, and recommend solutions
Scheduling Inbound / Outbound Shipping Appointments
Ability to multi-task is essential in day to day tasks
Clear and effective communication via phone and email
Conduct that is professional, courteous, and service-oriented
Team work driving environment
Other duties as needed
Qualifications
High School Diploma
Proficient with Microsoft applications and m
Basic understanding of supply chain / logistics operations terminology
Previous transportation administrative experience preferred
