JOB DESCRIPTION

VLCM, a leading IT solutions provider for 40 years, is seeking an experienced Datacenter Solutions Engineer to join our team in Murray, UT.

In this role, you will primarily focus on post-sales installation, support, and maintenance of our IT solutions, with some pre-sales and architecture work involvement.

As a Solutions Engineer, your primary responsibility will be successfully implementing and supporting market-leading IT solutions.

You will work closely with internal and external partners to ensure these solutions' seamless deployment, migration, and support.

Additionally, you will engage in pre-sales activities such as proposal development, proof-of-concept construction, demonstrations, roadmaps, and architectural design sessions.

WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO

You will be responsible for the design of service engagements in functional IT areas such as :

• Infrastructure as a Service
• Platform as a Service
• End User Computing / VDI
• Hybrid Connectivity
• Security
• High-Performance Computing
• Storage, Backup, and Recovery

To be successful in this role, you must position yourself as a trusted advisor to our clients and provide recommendations for various migrations and technical implementation roadmaps.

You should be able to design state-of-the-art technical solutions that address our customers' scalability, reliability, security, and performance requirements.

In addition, you will collaborate with other project teams on technical solutions and help improve VLCM's services IP.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Essential qualifications for this position include at least five years of experience designing and implementing complex IT solutions and 5+ years of experience working with mid-market or enterprise environments across multiple verticals.

Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations are necessary.
