Position Summary :
Universal Display Corporation is seeking an Applications Developer to work on the design of cutting-edge new materials for application into our world-leading OLED business.
The Developer will be part of our dynamic and fast-paced Modeling and Simulation team and will have the opportunity to work closely with synthetic chemists, device physicists, and engineers.
The Developer will be responsible for building custom applications to support high-throughput computation, data visualization, and the generation of new OLED compounds.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated programming ability as well as experience in computational chemistry and strong collaboration skills.
Responsibilities :
- Collaborate closely with the discovery research team in the development of new OLED materials.
- Develop and maintain procedures to compute properties of OLED materials.
- Analyze computational and experimental data to identify optimal leads. Provide custom reports so scientists can draw conclusions from complex data sets.
- Perform calculations of the electronic properties of OLED materials.
Requirements :
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or Computer Science. Master’s Degree is a plus.
- Proficiency in programming languages, specifically Python and Bash.
- Experience with computational chemistry methods such as Density Functional Theory.
- Strong writing, communication, and analytical skills
- Exemplary organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and respond to shifting priorities
Experience with the following is a plus :
- Experience supporting Linux computers
- Experience with Biovia PipelinePilot
