A District Manager for Goodwill is responsible for overseeing, leading, and achieving results across multiple retail district locations.

This position directs all aspects of daily operations, guiding Retail Management within the assigned district to ensure performance goals are met.

Through strategic vision and leadership, the role ensures operational efficiency, recruitment, training, and development of talent, as well as performance management to meet both short-term and long-term goals.

Your Typical Day :

• Execute retail operations plans to achieve growth targets in profit, revenue, and production across multiple locations.
• Lead Store Managers in developing innovative inventory strategies and monitor product levels to meet sales targets.
• Prepare budgets for the district, including capital improvements and daily expenditures, in collaboration with leadership.
• Analyze operational reports, monitor store profitability, and oversee payroll budgets to set and implement goals.
• Develop store management teams to deliver exceptional customer service across all stores.
• Support the creation of a customer service culture within the district.
• Engage with retail teams and customers to identify and address business-critical issues.
• Collaborate with leadership to create implementation plans based on trend analysis and local market knowledge.
• Maximize sales, gross margin, and inventory management across a multi-site environment.
• Oversee daily retail operations, generating innovative ideas for future activities and staying updated on market trends.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures relating to Asset Protection, Health and Safety, and Human Resources.
• Exhibit and represent the organization's values by promoting a positive work environment.
• Drive company culture change efforts and operational success.
• Monitor staffing levels and support talent acquisition and development strategies.
• Retain top talent through effective leadership and coaching.
• Provide ongoing guidance and feedback to store leadership and associates to drive sales and performance.

What You’ll Need :

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in business or marketing preferred.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced retail, production, or food service environment.
• Proven ability to lead, manage, motivate, and communicate effectively with store personnel at all levels.
• Strong skills in training, coaching, and developing associates.
• Ability to organize, prioritize tasks, and execute to achieve results.
• Capacity to exercise independent judgment and discretion.
• Willingness to work a flexible full-time schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to travel to various locations as needed.
