Purpose / Summary
Looking for a customer service-minded individual to assist museum-goers in the gallery spaces, communicate museum policies and offer interpretive assistance for the exhibitions on view.
Gallery Attendants ensure the safety of the exhibition on view, provide assistance to museum goers, lead educational tours and work events both at the Fries Museum location and MCA at The Holiday Theater.
Duties and Responsibilities
Gallery Attendants :
- Protect the art on view in the galleries at the Fries building
- Assist with events at the Holiday Theater Location.
- Assist museum goers and event attendees.
- Conduct exhibition research and lead educational tours
- Requires excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, oral communication skills, and attention to detail. Requires the ability to work as part of a team, with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with disabilities, excellent reliability, hospitality, and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Interactions within the Denver arts scene, artists and museum professionals
- Public speaking and educational experience through research and leading guided tour groups
- Opportunities to participate in exhibition installation and research
- Arts, Humanities and Design
- Education & Teaching
- Experience in museum and cultural institution.
