Manager of Surgical Services

We are searching for a motivated Manager of Surgical Services in an acute care facility in Zanesville, Ohio!

Zanesville, Ohio, founded in 1801, is known for its rich history and unique cultural landmarks. The city boasts attractions such as the Zanesville Museum of Art, which features a diverse collection of American and European works, and the Y-Bridge, an architectural curiosity spanning the confluence of the Licking and Muskingum Rivers.

Additionally, Zanesville is famous for its historic pottery industry, with several local studios and museums showcasing its ceramic heritage.

Job Summary

Responsible for oversight of Inpatient Surgery (General & CVOR) : 12 OR’s which includes 2 CVOR suites and 1 hybrid suite;

OR utilizes integrated video systems and robotic integration

• Averaging around 10,000 cases in the main surgery department each year
• BSN required and at least 2 years of current / very recent surgical experience required
• Will oversee approximately 70 employees
• Relocation assistance negotiable (will not be 100%)

Required Qualifications :

• BSN and current Ohio RN License.
• CPR certification required.
• Two (2) years previous inpatient acute care experience required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, levels of care, treatment modalities, and the present health care delivery system.
• High degree of skill in interpersonal relations with the ability to deal effectively on a one-to-one and group basis with physicians, nursing staff, administration, and other hospital departments.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
• Knowledge of patient evaluation and triage procedures.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
• Ability to coach employees and promote nursing excellence.
• Strong strategic and critical thinking skills with ability to foster teamwork and process change.
• Self-motivated and able to complete assigned tasks with minimal direction.

Salary Base : $99K- $125K
