A local philanthropic non-profit organization in San Clemente is seeking a Warehouse Lead to join their growing team. Their mission is to assist those in need in Orange County with resources for food, shelter, and personalized supportive counsel and aid;

helping clients bridge the gap from dependency to self-sufficiency.

The Warehouse Lead will be responsible for overseeing a fast-paced food pantry staffed by a volunteer work force and collaborating with colleagues in support of the company's mission.

This is a full time, temp to hire opportunity with pay starting at $22-$24 / hour. The hours are 8 : 30am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.

Warehouse Lead Responsibilities :

• Train and oversee volunteers and coordinates pantry operations.
• Collaborate with the Warehouse Specialist to pace / sequence food stocking and distributions, as well as to share resources.
• Seek input from and deploy Warehouse Associates.
• Communicate effectively and proactively with Operations Director, Case Managers, and other staff.
• Ensure food donations are properly inspected, sorted, stored, rotated, and distributed appropriately.
• Ensure pantry is thoroughly clean and organized daily.
• Receive donations.
• Maintain administrative activities including food expiration sheet, freezer / cooler temp logs, donation slips, outbound bulk slips and necessary warehouse signage.
• Ensure e-ticket system is being utilized correctly and secure iPads.
• Occasionally, participate in / takes a lead position for special events outside of normal working hours.

Warehouse Lead Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Basic computer skills : E-mail, Internet, basic typing skills for texting and entering timesheets.
• Ability to lift and / or move up to 50 lbs
• Regularly required to stand, move around the warehouse, stoop, reach, use hands and bending.
• Ability to lead a diverse group of volunteers and work collaboratively with staff.
• Works well independently with minimum supervision.
• Positive attitude and ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
