1st year apprentice as part of the Local 68 training program. Will work side by side with existing operating engineer's on various shifts as directed.

JOB TITLE : Apprentice

REPORTS TO : Engineering

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

To assist Engineers in the performance of their duties.

EXPERIENCE AND SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

1. Should possess a general mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

1. Assist engineers in operating and performing preventive maintenance on all HVAC equipment.

2. Assist engineers in operating central control system.

3. Assist engineers in air balancing and use of measurement devices.

4. Assist engineers in maintaining and performing preventative maintenance on controls and related equipment, adjust and calibrate when necessary.

6. Assist engineers in responding to complaints concerning HVAC malfunction associated with equipment.

7. Assist engineer in performing minor welding repairs.

8. Assist engineer in performing minor electrical repairs.

9. Assist engineers in minor sheet metal repairs.

10. Assist engineers in performing all major repairs on all pumps, all compressors, centrifugal compressors when possible.

11. Assist engineers in responding to all building emergencies.

12. Assist engineers in performing tests, and servicing of water systems related to HVAC.

13. Assist engineers in performing repairs to plumbing systems.

14. Assist engineers in performing general maintenance functions as required.

Estimated total compensation ran for this position is :

41,600.00 41,600.00 ADP per year

The pay range listed is a total compensation range including bonus, if applicable. The provided range is an estimate and not guaranteed.
