Start Up Foreman

About the position :
As a Start Up Foreman for Piedmont Service Group, you will be responsible for wiring-up, starting- up, trouble shooting, repairing, and installing commercial HVAC and related equipment .
- Read and understand mechanical blueprints and specifications
- Read and understand technical manuals and manufacturers installation, operation and maintenance manuals
- Perform control wiring installation for HVAC equipment
- Installing accessories for various HVAC pieces of equipment
- Understanding the operation of HVAC equipment in order to perform a proper start up
- Maintain proper start up documentation as it relates to each start up
- Following all safety requirements and use appropriate PPE
- Flexibility to work extended shifts (e.g., early mornings and late nights)
Work Hours : Hours are typically 7am-3 : 30pm
Benefits :Qualifications preferred for job candidates :
- Be able to understand all parts of mechanical equipment for HVAC systems and their designed purpose and methods of proper operation
- A minimum of three years of experience of Commercial HVAC start up work.
- Valid NC drivers' license
- CFC certification. (Universal or Type II) or willingness to obtain
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Must be able to work on ladders, elevated platforms, boom lifts and scaffolding
- Must be able to work independently and as a team member.
- Strong communication and documentation skill
- Candidates will be required to pass a background check and drug test upon being given a conditional offer of employment
