Responsibilities :
- Supports & assists the Pharmacist in the medication use process by providing safe and efficient medication management & patient care to patients (neonate to geriatric), physicians, employees, and the public.
- Requires following appropriate guidelines under the supervision of the pharmacist for medication preparation and distribution.
- Functions in an environment which requires teamwork and flexibility to provide medications to patients.
- Responsibilities include IV admixture, assisting the pharmacist with the dispensing of medications, maintaining medications in unit-based cabinets, taking verbal refill approvals from provider’s offices, insurance verification, working with technology, and deliveries of medications.

Qualifications
Required :
- Active National Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the (PTCB) or the (NHA)
- Pharmacy Technician (State) (KY) - Must obtain Pharmacy Technician (State) (PHT) credential within 30 days of employment if no prior technician experience.
Must obtain Pharmacy Technician (State) (PHT) credential at hire if prior experience as a technician. You can register for the certificate by clicking here : .
Desired :
- 1 year experience working in pharmacy.
- High School Diploma or GED
