Tiger Corporation is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Painter I to join our Paint Department. At Tiger Corporation, we believe in creating a fun and supportive workplace where your skills can shine!
Key Responsibilities :
- Get Creative : Operate paint spray equipment to apply primer and paint coatings on steel products, including piece parts, weldments, and mower decks.
- Prep Like a Pro : Prepare products for painting by hanging, surface preparation, and cleaning. Apply masking tape or plugs to protect components.
- Master the Mix : Mix primer and paint, conducting quality checks like viscosity tests to ensure the perfect application.
- Handle with Care : Perform material handling tasks such as offloading, palletizing, and transporting products.
- Stay Sharp : Clean and maintain spraying equipment and the paint booth area, ensuring everything is in top-notch condition.
- Quality Assurance : Conduct quality assurance tests, including viscosity and mil thickness checks, to ensure a flawless finish.
- Maintenance Guru : Perform regular maintenance and minor repairs on painting equipment.
- Safety First : Maintain OSHA standards for Hazardous Materials within the department.
- Record Keeper : Accurately record work order information and inventory transactions.
- Team Player : Work with outside vendors for supply ordering and maintain inventory of supplies.
Skills and Qualifications :
- Experience : Six months to one and a half years of related painting experience preferred.
- Equipment Knowledge : Ability to operate paint spray equipment and a good understanding of paint characteristics and spray systems.
- Physical Capability : Must be physically capable of wearing a pressure-demand respirator and able to pass a pulmonary and respirator test according to OSHA guidelines (Spirometric Examination).
- Color Acuity : Must have good color vision to ensure accurate paint application.
- Physical Strength : Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 pounds alone and climb ladders.
- Dexterity : Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity to handle painting tasks efficiently.
- Flexibility : Willingness to work overtime and / or weekends as needed to meet production schedules.
