Your role in the mission :
Type One Energy are seeking a Technical Supply Chain Program Manager (SCPM) to be responsible for overall execution of stellarator fusion technology suppliers, ensuring they meet the required terms and specifications of their purchase order.
In this role, the SCPM will lead the evaluation of suppliers working closely with key stakeholders.
This role involves conducting thorough analyses, testing, and validation processes to support decision-making related to product development, procurement, and quality assurance.
The Supply Chain Program Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including program management, engineering, R&D, procurement, and quality control, to ensure technical excellence and compliance with industry standards.
- Assess portfolio supply chain needs and develop a detailed procurement plan and strategy for each Product Breakdown Structure element.
- Evaluate technical specifications and documentation to ensure they meet project requirements and industry standards.
- Ensure that all procurement scopes of work comply with company quality standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Assess the technical capabilities of vendors and suppliers to determine their ability to meet project requirements.
- Provide technical input during the supplier selection process and participate in supplier audits as required.
- Prepare detailed supplier evaluation reports, including market segment and technical capability analysis, and recommendations.
- Communicate evaluation results to relevant stakeholders, including engineers, project managers, and senior management.
- Work closely with engineering, R&D, procurement, and quality control teams to identify supply chain gaps and actions to address.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to technical discussions and decision-making processes.
What you’ll need :
- Bachelor’s degree technical degree preferred Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., Certified Quality Engineer, Six Sigma) is a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in supply chain, quality assurance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in conducting technical assessments, testing, and validation.
- Experience with industry-specific standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, ASTM, ASME).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in technical documentation, reporting, and data analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present technical findings clearly.
- Knowledge of relevant software and tools used in technical evaluations (e.g., CAD software, testing equipment).
