Are you an experienced leader passionate about optimizing production processes and driving team success? MeriCal is looking for a dynamic Production Manager to oversee day-to-day operations in our plant.

This role is critical in ensuring all employees are fully trained, adhere to safety and environmental requirements, and follow MeriCal's policies.

The Production Manager is responsible for equipment utilization, productivity, product quality, safety, raw material reconciliation, and inventory accuracy.

This position reports to the Plant Director and will lead, coach, and set direction for multiple line leaders and supervisors daily.

About the Role :

As a Production Manager, you will ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, federal, and company policies and procedures.

You will create a culture of safety through 100% compliance with safety training and promote Good Manufacturing Practices.

Your role includes providing coaching and direction to ensure success in meeting required outputs and schedules, communicating production targets and priorities, assisting with annual operating plans, and developing cost-saving ideas for production operations.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide leadership and set goals / objectives for the plant-based on corporate goals and customer needs.
  • Develop and communicate plant KPIs, including safety compliance, quality results, and production output.
  • Conduct periodic plant production meetings with employees, coaching staff and communicating production-related information.
  • Structure the workforce to effectively utilize associate skills and capabilities, developing leaders in the organization.
  • Coordinate labor scheduling with productivity in mind, determining when overtime is necessary.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance to evaluate equipment for overhaul, repair, and / or replacement.
  • Interact with Quality Control and Warehousing to ensure materials meet specifications and are received timely.
  • Generate and implement ideas for continual process improvement.
  • Maintain production and inventory records, providing weekly / monthly reports as required.
  • Manage training, performance evaluation, documentation, wage / salary, and corrective counseling processes.
  • Anticipate future needs based on capacity and reliability of work centers.
  • Create a culture of safety through 100% compliance with safety training.
  • Oversee and promote a safe and sanitary work environment, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Provide coaching and direction to ensure success in meeting required outputs and schedules.
  • Maintain a visible presence on the plant floor to monitor machine operations, product quality, and waste management.

About You :

You are a proactive and strategic leader with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are skilled at fostering a positive, people-oriented atmosphere in the plant.

Qualifications :

  • 5 + years in manufacturing management for Medical, Food, Pharmaceutical, Dietary, or a related industry.
  • Possess extensive FDA regulatory knowledge
  • Experience in leading a high-performing manufacturing team in a fast-paced, regulated, distinct work environment.
  • Strong communication skills; able to interact professionally and empathetically with staff and customers.
  • Ability to develop a high-performance, high-involvement, results-oriented work culture.

Education Requirements :

  • High School Diploma required, undergraduate degree preferred
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and ERP / MRP systems.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
