Founded in 2000, ERG is an environmental consulting small business providing National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Cultural Resources, Natural Resources, Compliance, Restoration, and Geographical Information Systems (GIS) services to federal, state, local / municipal, and commercial clients across the United States.

ERG is headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland, and operates AmaTerra, ERG Texas Services, out of Austin, Texas to provide Texas state-wide services.

Environmental Research Group, LLC (ERG) is seeking a National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) specialist to work with our team in a project management / leadership role.

This position is based in the Sacramento, CA area, and is full-time, salary paid with full benefits. Founded in 2000, ERG is an 8(a) certified, service-disabled veteran-owned (SDVO), economically disadvantaged woman-owned (EDWO) small business (SB).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven experience in EA and EIS development
  • Understanding of implemented regulations of NEPA for federal clients
  • Working knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) environmental programs
  • Demonstrable attention to detail
  • Strong writing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple project components at one time
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet hard deadlines
  • Experience with estimating the level of effort for project tasks
  • Proficient in MSWord / Excel / Adobe Acrobat Pro / SharePoint
  • Ability to manage time efficiently, be responsive and work independently
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be able to pass DoD security clearances and background checks
  • US citizenship required

Salary commensurate with experience. Bonuses are offered for exceptional performance. Benefits package includes health insurance, paid holiday, and vacation, and a 401(k) plan with employer contribution regardless of employee contribution.
