Salary :
The Information Technology Services (ITS) department at Hutchinson Community College (HutchCC) is responsible for using information technology to enhance process, increase capacity / access, create efficiency, and execute strategic initiatives of the college.
The Executive Director of ITS is responsible for directing the work and managing the staff of the IT Department and is expected to lead the department in the development and implementation of information technology at HutchCC.
The Executive Director also leads the ITS department in the mission, vision and core values of HutchCC.
RESPONSIBILITIES : Essential
Essential
- Lead the personnel, operations and direction of the ITS department.
- Establish priorities for the ITS department.
- Manage IT projects, budgeting, and planning.
- Establish ITS policy, procedures and standards.
- Facilitate communication between ITS and other college departments.
- Manage ITS team leads and the Director of IT.
- Manage ITS digital media operations and personnel.
- Direct ITS project manager and project resources.
- Establish, maintain, and measure goals, objectives, and outcomes for ITS.
- Facilitate ITS staff training and development.
- Participate on ITS and HutchCC teams, committees, and task forces.
- Arrive on time for work, attend work regularly, and successfully complete the responsibilities of the position.
- Comply with HutchCC policies, procedures, and practices.
Secondary
Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Vice President of Finance and Operations.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field required, Master’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of experience managing information technology personnel.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management.
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues, both logical and interpersonal
- An understanding of process flow / enhancement techniques.
- Familiarity with IT industry standards; such as ITIL.
- Proven ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with a variety of people.
- Self-motivated, independent, cooperative, flexible, creative.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Physical requirements include excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills; excellent organizational skills;
- ability and willingness to collaborate; ability to work independently; use appropriate judgment and to apply tact and courtesy in difficult situations;
light to moderate, indoor work environment.

SALARY and STATUS :
The salary is commensurate with qualifications as determined by HutchCC personnel. This full-time administrative staff position is 12 month annual, benefit eligible, at-will, and exempt.
