Position Title : Lead Specialist Dietitian- Torrance, CA

Reports To : Director of Nutrition Systems

Location : Harbur UCLA

Job Details : The Lead Inpatient Dietitian Specialist position will consist of 50% clinical responsibilities and 50% management responsibilities.

Inpatient patient coverage will include an adult ICU. Cross-coverage will be required (e.g. general adult med-surg, general pediatrics, etc.

Management responsibilities include oversight of 8 inpatient dietitians, staffing, chart audits, and competencies (among other duties).

Some weekends / holidays are required. CNSC required or must be obtained within the first 6 months.

Salary : $86,840-$105,857

Other Forms of Compensation : meal plan, phone stipend, CEU's, AND and CDR dues paid, tuition and education reimbursement

Job Summary

The Lead Specialist Dietitian will work collaboratively with the team and clients to ensure the nutrition plans are implemented and departmental standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provides nutrition assessment, modified diet formulation, self-management training and nutrition intervention
• Complies with all regulatory standards, including federal, state and accrediting agencies
• Adheres to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient rights policies where applicable
• Participates in facility-wide and departmental Quality Assurance / Performance Improvement Programs
• Identifies weekly treatment goals and communicates individual client needs to treatment team
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree and Registered Dietitian in accordance with the Commission on Dietetic Registration, required
• Advanced Practitioner Certification and other advance practice, preferred
• Minimum of two to three years of professional experience as a Registered Dietitian
• Licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing Board in states where applicable required
• Experience with computers and programs including Microsoft Office Suite required
