Position : Senior Tax Accountant (FullTime)
The firm is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to handle a range of tax and accounting responsibilities due to its growth.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee multiple client engagements and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Collaborate with staff at all levels on client projects.
- Review and prepare complex tax returns for multistate corporations partnerships fiduciaries and individuals including 1040s 1041s 1120s and 1065s.
- Manage the preparation of intricate tax returns as needed.
- Handle estate and trust matters including financial planning for highnetworth individuals (e.g. estates gifting IRA).
- Address and resolve tax notices and audits with government agencies.
- Conduct tax research and provide related training.
- Prepare yearend tax projections strategies for quarterly estimates and overall tax planning.
- Manage workflow and client relationships effectively.
- Supervise and mentor staff accountants including evaluating their performance.
- Offer educational communications and webinars for clients as needed.
- Exhibit strong technical tax skills and build strong client relationships.
Qualifications :
- 3 to 5 years of public accounting experience with a focus on managing multiple engagements.
- CPA certification preferred or required with a broad tax background.
- Experience in financial assurance / audit is a plus.
- Familiarity with CCH Axcess Tax Engagement and QuickBooks.
- Strong team player with leadership and staff development skills.
- Excellent communication problemsolving and analytical abilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
