We are currently seeking a Activities Communication Coordinator to join our enthusiastic team. This role is essential in creating an engaging and vibrant environment for our residents by planning and implementing a variety of programs aligned with the 8 Dimensions of Wellness.
Job Summary
As a Communications Coordinator, you will collaborate closely with the Director of Community Life Services and the Community Life Services Manager.
Your role will involve planning, coordinating, and executing communication and activity programs tailored to the unique needs of Sagewood and Acacia Health Center residents.

Responsibilities
Communications Management :
- Oversee email communications using third-party email marketing tools (e.g., Constant Contact).
- Manage digital signage and the resident portal (e.g., Touchtown).
- Handle event space and virtual event calendaring (e.g., Worxhub, Zoom).
Content Creation :
- Prepare and distribute weekly / monthly calendars, daily activity reminders, event flyers, and newsletters.
- Maintain accurate records of residents' activity attendance and portal usage.
Technology and Data :
- Research and propose technological opportunities to enhance departmental efficiency and resident experiences.
- Manage data entry and provide resident education for our portal, Touchtown.
Event and Activity Support :
Assist in room setup / teardown, AV support, event management, and other activities as assigned by the Director and Manager of Community Life Services.
Flexibility and Availability :
- Flexibility to work occasional nights and weekends as needed.
- Attend in-service training, online education sessions, and perform other duties as assigned.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM
Qualifications
- Proficiency with graphic design software (Adobe, Canva) and MS Office.
- Experience with project management platforms preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to frequently stand, stoop, bend, stretch, and squat throughout the workday.
- Capable of lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs. occasionally.
- Must be able to push residents in gerichairs and wheelchairs, weighing up to 250 lbs.
- Ability to read, speak, and hear English, and perform duties intermittently while sitting and walking.
Compensation
$18.00 per hour
