The Little School Advancement Coordinator is a member of the Advancement Team at The Little School. This position supports both enrollment and development.

This unique role works to attract and support families throughout their journey at The Little School from prospective to enrolled to alum.

We have found it strategic and advantageous to have consistent database oversight in enrollment and development and look forward to a new team member to help us further develop this integrated advancement approach.

Guided by the school’s ongoing Strategic Plan (beginning in 2022), The Little School has recently completed a long-term campus plan that will help inform enrollment and development work moving forward.

This fall, the school will begin a feasibility study to better understand the philanthropic interests and capacity of our community.

This role will play an important part in helping with data and coordination during this important time for the school.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Express an active understanding of the school mission, vision, and core values and be able to represent and advocate for the school with all constituencies across the school including prospective, current and alum families.
  • Thoughtfully collaborate with the Director of Enrollment and Director of Development to ensure the success of the school’s advancement initiatives.

This position reports to both the Director of Enrollment and the Director of Development.

  • Assist in preparation and participate as needed in admissions, retention, community and development events including the auction, Arts Festival, Open Houses, and community fairs.
  • Provide excellent customer service to Little School constituents and external partners.
  • Admissions & marketing coordination :
  • As an outward facing ambassador of the school, foster relations and coordinate communications with prospective families throughout the inquiry and admissions process.
  • Compile, maintain and report on enrollment data through Ravenna Enrollment database.
  • Coordinate and track marketing initiatives.
  • Create, edit and proof digital and print materials for prospective families through various platforms with attention to branding and aesthetics.
  • Development coordination :
  • Provide timely and precise gift entry and donor acknowledgement
  • Maintain donor database (Raiser’s Edge NXT) including constituent updates, gift data, and gift reports.
  • Support Auction data including procurement, gift entry, and event night logistics (Greater Giving Event Software).
  • Feasibility study and future campaign support.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience and proficiency working in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Experience in development and admissions database management required, with preference for experience with Blackbaud, Raiser’s Edge and Ravenna.
  • Experience using various digital and print media platforms.

Compensation includes competitive faculty salary, health, vision, dental and retirement benefits. Salary will range between $65,000-$70,000 depending on experience and education.
