Position Summary :

The Client Specialist provides case management and program planning for assigned caseloads. Serving as liaison to Family members, Guardians and other interested professionals to attain comprehensive services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Follow and implement a quality inclusive adult career and education program for participants in conjunction with other team members.
• Develop and implement; Implementation Plan (IP) for each participant. Provide guidance and assistance in the implementation of specific participant goals.
• Provide direct care and support to clients by teaching, engaging, enriching or encouraging them daily and may be counted as part of supervision ratio in order to satisfy compliance requirements.
• Monitors and records progress of the participant in specific program areas.
• Maintain participant documentation and files as required by funders.
• Serves as the Agency's liaison with involved professionals, guardians, families, and other agencies on any participant’s specific matter.
• Assist with direct care of participants in programs, provide hands on assistance and supervision to all participants in the program to include;

personal care and safety.

• Assist with planning, organizing instruction to maximize the participants learning.
• Assist as needed in classes based upon lesson plans to meet individual goals set.
• Assist with direct care of participants in programs as necessary.
• Attend all participant program meeting and participants support team.
• Assist with organizing community outings and participate in activities and volunteer opportunities.
• Assist with creating flyers, calendars and correspondence to participants and families.
• Maintain the ability to meet the physical requirements of this position as related to duties at all times.
• Other duties as assigned by Leadership.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of staff members.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with strong attention to detail and set priorities as required.
• Ability to work independently and exercise professional judgment with guidance from the program director.
• Ability to navigate Microsoft Office Products and other software as required.
• Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and team members.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
• Maintain professional and courteous demeanor.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, agencies, vendors, donors and funders.
• Identify concerns, generate and evaluate alternate solutions and make sound recommendations.

Education and Experience Requirements :

• A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University with a focus in Human Services field.
• Case Management experience preferred.
• Experience in a related field shall substitute on a year-for-year-basis for the required college education.
• Must possess and maintain a current Florida’s Driver’s License, excellent driving skills and the state minimum requirements for auto insurance.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions :

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
• The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity equipment / machinery such as copy machines, printers etc.
• The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
• The ability to observe, identify, and recognize details at close and long range.
• Frequently moves boxes weighing up to 30 pounds across office for various needs.
• Occasionally works in outdoor conditions will need to occasionally move about, positioning self, ascend and descend.
