Job Description :
The Student Affairs Coordinator works independently to coordinate all administrative aspects of the graduate and undergraduate programs in the Department of Anthropology.
The incumbent works directly with the director of graduate studies (DGS), the director of undergraduate studies (DUS), the department chair, the Graduate School, and the Registrar among other offices on campus to implement curricular directives and mandates to meet program goals.
This position also works closely with the academic department manager to ensure faculty and students are supported.
Education and Experience
Associate's degree with at least 3 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong planning, organizational and time management skills with demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines
Highly effective oral and written communication skills
High proficiency and strong experience in Microsoft Office software for word, spreadsheet applications (Excel), presentations (PowerPoint), and in moving material among these various applications, including documents and files in PDF format, also Google Suite
Experience with Workday and Banner / GSIM, and creating databases preferred
Demonstrated ability to support a community of diverse perspectives and cultures in an inclusive environment.
