LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a family-owned manufacturing company located in Bala Cynwyd, PA looking for an experienced Senior Staff Accountant.
This role is onsite 5 days per week.
The Senior Staff Accountant will initially focus on transactional accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), payroll, and sales & use tax.
This position offers a clear path to the Controller role, with responsibilities expanding to include full-scope month-end close processes and financial statement preparation.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in a manufacturing company with accounting, including cost accounting (COGS), and will possess excellent Excel skills.
Responsibilities :
Manage and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
Administer payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
Prepare and file sales & use tax returns.
Maintain and analyze cost accounting records, including cost of goods sold (COGS).
Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, ensuring accurate product costing and inventory valuation.
Coordinate with external auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3 - 5 years of accounting experience
Manufacturing Industry experience and costing a MUST
Proven experience in managing AP, AR, payroll, and sales & use tax
