This role resides within the Gas Distribution Design Quality team, within the Gas Distribution Engineering organization. Gas Distribution Engineering is responsible for the engineering design and preparation of construction documentation for all Gas Distribution main and service replacements and New Business main and service installations.
The Gas Service Design Analyst will have experience with utility system design and analysis using Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Geographic Information System (GIS) software.
The Gas Service Design Analyst will be expected to review a variety of projects complexities ranging from intermediate to advanced level, and will occasionally coordinate with internal departments, contractors, and leadership to ensure compliance and effective management of project tasks.
Understand, apply and recommend department standards, procedures, processes and job aids as related to plans and specifications, maps, images, specialized components, custom reports, cells and related material for projects or other work order application documents.
Ability to analyze industry standards, maps, blueprint drawings, details, survey data, sketches, and project scope requirements.
Requirements : Software experience with : MicroStation V8i or v10, AutoCAD, Open Plant, GIS. Energy industry background, such as knowledge and experience in gas distribution utility operations and design.
