Position Objective :

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in promoting a customer and product-focused sales culture, managing sales operations, asset protection, and human resources functions to ensure great customer experience and maximum profitability.

Functional Responsibilities :

  • Performance Culture : Analyzes sales reports and KPIs to determine the needs of the business; partners with Store Manager to execute in-store business and sales strategies.
  • Establishes and communicates clear expectations, holding store team accountable for achieving all brand, performance, and behavior standards.
  • Controls payroll and supply budget.
  • Oversees operational activities such as scheduling, target shrink audits, physical inventory, and payroll accuracy.
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, loss prevention policies, and operating procedures.
  • Administers all operational processes including inventory receipt / dispatch and daily replenishment of merchandise levels.
  • Ensures visual presentation and facility maintenance are representative of the Brand.
  • Develops a high-performance culture, motivating the sales team to meet assigned sales goals.
  • Trains and coaches the selling team in product knowledge.

Building High Performing Teams :

  • Motivates and inspires the store team.
  • Promotes an inclusive, collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Communicates effectively with store teams to lead positive change.

Customer Experience :

  • Models, teaches, and promotes the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles.
  • Ensures prompt resolution of customer concerns.
  • Ensures a fast and efficient register experience.

Talent :

  • Assists in recruiting and developing a high-performing team.
  • Supports training programs and assesses store team performance.
  • Drives associate engagement by recognizing outstanding performance.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of retail management experience preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Knowledge of administrative aspects of store operations.
  • Regular attendance is essential to this position.

Physical Requirements :

  • Constant Walking / Standing- 67-100% of 8-hour shift.
  • Occasional Lifting up to 50 lbs.- 1-33% of 8-hour shift.
  • Frequent Climbing- 34%-66% of 8-hour shift.
