Director, Foundation Giving
Highly Regarded National Nonprofit
Fully Remote Anywhere in the Contiguous US
Salary : $120,000 to $175,000 per year, based on many factors including experience and geographic location + bonus based on organization and individual performance
Terrific Director, Foundation Giving position with a highly regarded national nonprofit organization. The Director, Foundation Giving will be responsible for the full lifecycle of fundraising from private, non-corporate foundations, and donor-advised funds.
The role will focus heavily on establishing new partnerships and cultivating strong relationships with donors nationally.
Candidates should have a demonstrated track record of securing 6+ figure gifts. This position will have the potential to develop a team over time to support these fundraising efforts.
Qualified candidates will have 8-10+ years of relevant experience including 5+ years in a supervisory role. Bachelor's degree is required, Master's degree is a plus.
The salary range is $120,000 to $175,000 per year, based on many factors, including experience and geographic location. The role is also eligible for an annual bonus based on organization and individual performance.
This position is fully remote and can be based anywhere in the contiguous US.
Responsibilities :
- Develop fundraising strategies to engage with private foundations and donor-advised funds
- Cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with existing donors and prospects
- Craft proposals for prospective donors that effectively convey the "story" of the organization
- Provide reporting to donors as required by each award
- Support the development of short- and long-term strategic plans
- Oversee and manage communication strategies and recognition programs for donors
- Collaborate with MarComm and other teams to develop effective fundraising collateral and other materials
- Develop, manage and mentor a team as warranted to further fundraising initiatives
- Travel as required to meet with donors and prospects
Qualifications :
- 8-10+ of years relevant fundraising experience, including 5+ years of supervisory experience
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree a plus
- Demonstrated track record of securing 6-figure gifts and 7-figures+ annually
- Experience securing funds from private foundations and donor advised funds
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative organization
- Willingness to travel
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset
- Raiser's Edge or similar experience
