Purpose : To maximise relevant business opportunities for each sales region.

Scope : The candidate must be able to demonstrate they are able to work with and communicate at all levels with a wide range of prospects across all customer types, external sales support and commercial projects teams.

The candidate is required to generate residential and commercial project opportunities using construction databases such as Construct Connect.

The role is focused on proactive phone work to engage potential customers across the construction industry such as distributors, contractors, and architects.

As a Lead Generator, the candidate will be expected to develop a strategy to approach the different customer types as identified by the Country Manager which could then be rolled out to others in lead generation.

The role will also include following up of sample requests as and when required. The position is a fulltime internal role and involves telemarketing / teleselling at all levels as required.

This will involve cold calling, identifying new prospects and appointment booking. Will need to work closely with regional teams and others doing lead generation.

Responsibilities

  • Make introductory calls to new prospects.
  • Help develop & be responsible for a lead generation strategy
  • Book AIA presentations when required
  • Effectively present to target audiences
  • Book appointments for regional BDMs
  • Engage existing clients to generate new enquiries as required by regional BDMs
  • Have a good knowledge / grasp of all target sectors
  • Strong product knowledge
  • To follow specific campaigns as set on by department managers
  • Continually develop Industry knowledge, regulations needed and know-how
  • Measure and report on lead activity / KPIs to drive continuous improvement

Person Specification :

  • Previous experience in Lead Generation, ideally within the construction industry and dealing with merchants, architects & contractors.
  • Experience being able to build relationships and sell over the phone

  • Willing to learn and develop and an enthusiastic Can do’ attitude
