The Collaboration Technologist (Technical Sales Consultant) has three core responsibilities :
- Define, design, and deliver outstanding client collaboration technology initiatives.
- Directly and indirectly drive financial results including top line revenue and target margin.
- Maintain and enhance position as Red Thread’s subject matter expertise on all collaboration solutions.
This role is critical to Red Thread’s success.
JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Identifies, pursues and captures new collaboration technology opportunities.
- Drives key design characteristics based on client needs and requirements.
- Partners with AV Technical Sales Consultants on joint projects.
- Develops new collaboration business strategies based on market conditions and emerging trends.
- Initiatives contact with prospective clients and executes consistent follow up.
- Build relationships with influencers, partners, and industry contacts.
- Attend networking, industry, and client events.
- Entertain clients as needed.
- Promote and partner with other Red Thread disciplines to offer integrated solutions.
- Host clients and partners at showrooms and deliver integrated tour experience.
- Prepare quotations and RFP responses.
- Provide proposals consistent with Red Thread requirements for pricing and margin.
- Costing all hardware, software, service, and outside labor items.
- Prepare and capture approval on all change orders.
- Manage balanced portfolio of hardware, software, and service solutions.
- Provide timely and accurate sales forecast and updates CRM daily.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholder teams to deliver superior project outcomes.
- Develops internal processes to ensure quality and completion of collaboration technology projects.
- Confirm client satisfaction at project completion.
- Design and perform client training programs.
- Deliver final documentation.
- Maintain and renew service level agreements for all clients.
- Execute all new client applications and captures customer deposits.
- Follow Red Thread guidelines for order submission and updates.
- Comply Red Thread’s credit and collections policies and procedures.
- Conduct business under Red Thread’s normal terms and conditions, or partner with Red Thread contract team to establish a satisfactory contractual agreement.
- Communicate with client on any financing, credit, or pricing discrepancies throughout the sales cycle.
- Assist with the collection delinquent funds as needed.
- Perform special projects as assigned.
Candidate must be willing to gain the following professional certifications with the support of Red Thread within the first year :
- CTS Certification
- MS-100
- MS-700
- Zoom ZTA
- Cisco CLCNF

Preferred Technical Skills (not required) :
- Strong scripting and automation experience in PowerShell
- Experience in integrating with third-party apps using APIs or connectors.
- Proven record in planning, architecting, and deploying MTR, Zoom Rooms and Cisco.
- A deep understanding of the security implications and network dependencies for Microsoft Teams, MTRs, and Azure
- A conceptual understanding of routing / switching / QoS, proxies, firewalls and their potential impact on voice, video, and web streaming network environments.
- Experience in handling live event support and webcasting for internal-facing and external-facing events.
- Proven record in analyzing, troubleshooting, and creating root cause analysis (RCA) reports with action plans on remediation.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments in an environment that requires multitasking among multiple concurrent projects while also handling interruptions.
- Power BI and Azure Dashboard
- Experience with Logitech, Crestron, Poly, Neat
- Experience deploying Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Webex Rooms
- Experience handling TMS, CUCM, RPRM, Audiocodes
- Experience with QSC, Biamp
- Experience using ticketing systems.

QUALIFICATIONS :
- BA / BS degree preferred.
- 3+ years of technology sales experience
