AE Works is seeking a talented Healthcare Architect Project Manager to grow and develop the healthcare practice at our firm.
As a Sr PM at AE Works, you will be responsible for developing new business relationships with healthcare clients, leading pursuits for new work, and acting in a senior leadership role in the design of healthcare projects in our firm.
The location of this position is flexible, but candidates in proximity to our Pittsburgh / Western PA or Mid-Atlantic office locations are preferred;
travel will be required. Role and Responsibilities for Position :
- Lead business development efforts in the healthcare sector regionally and nationally
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing team on healthcare-specific marketing initiatives and outreach
- Lead the successful pursuit of new work, including fee development, writing proposals, and interviews
- Provide regular reports to the Firm Leadership Team on pursuit activity and progress
- Lead clients and our internal multi-disciplinary design teams through planning, design, and successful execution of building projects, both new construction and renovation, within the healthcare sector
- Champion architectural design relevance within the firm thru mentorship and training
- Assist in evaluating and recruiting new hires to support the continued growth of the healthcare practice
- Travel with team members for onsite collaboration, investigations, and project presentations
- Attend industry events including participation in speaking and presenting to demonstrate expertise in the healthcare sector
- Participate in corporate activities including Social and Eco projects to support and develop the Triple Bottom Line business model and enhance our B Corp status
Technical Job Requirements :
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an NAAB accredited university
- RA registration in VA, MD, or Washington D.C. or other reciprocal state
- EDAC, ACHA and / or other relevant healthcare industry-related credentials preferred
- 15+ years of industry experience
- Specialized design experience in areas of healthcare including behavioral health, long term care, women's healthcare, oncology, or other major areas of healthcare required
- Skilled with using cloud based and mobile technology for collaboration
