Job Description : We are seeking a Medical Collector for a fast-paced office environment. This role is essential for handling information about patient services and payment processes.
The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills and the ability to work accurately and compassionately with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities :
- Review, research, investigate, process, and adjust claims
- Analyze and identify trends and provider reports as necessary
- Consistently meet productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards
- Understand and interpret plan documents, networks, and contracts
- Apply refunds and overpayments to claims as needed
- Utilize appropriate fee schedules and rates for claims processing
- Perform basic tasks independently, while seeking guidance for higher-level tasks
Qualifications :
- 1+ year of experience in medical claims, A / R, or billing
- Knowledge of Medicare and commercial payor systems
- Reliability and strong communication skills
