Our client, a prestigious law firm in Washington, DC, is seeking a Receptionist / Office Administrator to support office operations.

Job Details :

  • Title : Receptionist / Office Administrator
  • Type : Contract to hire
  • Location : 5 days onsite in NW Washington, DC
  • Rate / Salary : $28-32 / hr, $60,000 upon conversion
  • Background Check : Yes Criminal, employment and education run upon offer + 3 supervisory references

Candidate profile & qualifications :

  • Experience in 2-3 years of administrative / receptionist experience coming from law firms (ideally within AmLaw 200)
  • Professional Services (Accounting Firm, Public Relations Firm, Marketing Firm)
  • If coming from an LLP or PC firm, ideally an office of 20+ people
  • Experience interacting with clients via phone / in-person, liaison with vendors, building, overseeing kitchen area (restocking as necessary), managing keycards, and other office administrator duties.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Soft Skills Strong attention to detail, time management, high levels of professionalism
  • Education Bachelors Required

Job Duties :

  • Greet and assist guests both in-person and over the phone, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Manage office amenities including coffee service, snack pantries, and kitchen supplies.
  • Coordinate office events and catering, ensuring smooth logistics and professional execution.
  • Maintain office cleanliness and organization, including managing mail, deliveries, and vendor contacts.
  • Support administrative tasks such as scheduling, maintaining databases, and handling ad hoc projects.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for building administration, fire drills, and office facilities maintenance.
