Maintenance Supervisor II
Job Summary
Responsible for Daily Maintenance execution of emergency and planned work by assigning work orders and providing guidance as needed to the Maintenance Technicians.
Administrative tasks include leading the team, managing payroll and daily reporting of Maintenance status. Align with Production Shift Managers and Supervisors on Maintenance priorities daily and initiate LOTO of process units.
Job Summary :
- Supervision of shift employees in Maintenance Department. Supervision to include provision of work instructions / tasks, instructional assistance, and safety related procedure verifications.
- Conduct monthly safety meetings and address areas of concern.
- Ensure all employees receive designated training with the proper documentation maintained.
- Evaluate employee performance as needed but at least once annually.
- Monitor OT and attendance events to ensure appropriate staffing is maintained and procedures are followed.
- Safety Audits of the daily routine safety procedures which include the following : Lock, Tag, Try, Asbestos Clearance; Burning & Welding;
and Confined Space Entry.
- Maintain PM Program, Mechanical Integrity Program, and Boiler Operations to provide continuous plant operations.
- Interdepartmental Communication : Coordinate repair efforts with Production Supervision to adjust workforce priorities to meet business needs.
Liaison with Engineers and Chemists on special projects / modifications as needed.
- Issues and processes maintenance work orders for closing of accounting period.
- Provides part acquisition and establishes adequate inventory levels for plant repairs. Eliminates obsolete materials from inventory as needed.

Essential :
- Must have a high school education and a minimum of 7 years of industrial experience in maintenance operations.
- Must be able to troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical 3-phase systems.
- Must have good verbal and written skills and be able to interact with production supervision.
- Must have good mechanical fabrication and welding skills in carbon steel, stainless and aluminum.
Preferred :
- 10+ years in maintenance operations and supervision.
- Experience in Industrial Instrumentation with some experience with a distributed control system.
- Word processing skills are desirable.
