As the Director of HR, you will lead the HR function through a pivotal time partnering with the executive team transforming this established organization to adapt with the rapidly evolving healthcare environment.

Key Elements

Reporting to the CEO, the Director of HR will provide HR strategy, analysis, optimization, and comprehensive HR function oversight.

In this role, you will be pivotal to the organization’s people strategy ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, fostering a positive and productive culture, providing vital insights, and aligning HR to organizational objectives.

A visionary leader who looks for opportunities to optimize the HR function, the Director of HR will promote an inclusive and engaging work environment while leading initiatives in recruiting, employee relations, benefits management, employee development, compensation, compliance, and HRIS tools and applications.

The First Six Months

  • Get to know leaders across the organization, build relationships, observe what we do and how we do it, and develop a deep understanding of our mission, strategic goals, and our transformation initiatives.
  • Learn how our people, systems, and HR strategies enable us to support our mission and vision and immerse yourself in the culture.
  • Engage with portfolio company leaders, build credibility, and cultivate connections as a trusted consultant, function leader, and executive teammate.
  • Learn the as-is state, identify optimization opportunities, and develop a strategic plan to advance the HR function with the organization.
  • Nurture relationships with vendor partners, the Resource Cabinet, for HR workstreams.
  • Jump in on existing initiatives including the ERP transition, organizational restructuring, and compensation strategy execution.

Success Factors

  • Strategic HR leader with proven experience aligning HR to business goals and organizational objectives.
  • Skilled at building coalitions and engaging partners to deliver services and achieve targeted outcomes.
  • Comfortable assessing and using data to evaluate results, support decisions, and drive improvements.
  • Adaptable, open to different perspectives, and willing to jump in to advance initiatives, achieve objectives, and deliver results.
  • Able to build credibility, effectively influence others, and be a trusted HR expert and cultural ambassador across our portfolio companies to deploy best practices and drive effective strategy.
